Birds Eye Maple Ceremonial

This bowl is made from a piece of spalted Birdseye Maple. It was turned green so it would warp a bit to give it an "antique" look. The background of the lettering is 23k gold leaf. The lettering is symbolic, as it is a mixture of modified symbols taken from Nabatean, Celtic and Norwegian runes and is intended to give it a ceremonial feel. The bowl is 12.5 inches wide and 5 inches deep.
