I decided I could not cut this piece of wood into a round bowl as I would lose most of the beautiful spalting. So it became a coffee table platter. It is a little big (18" x 15") sitting by itself. I solved that by adding three wood spheres, one Maple, one Walnut and one Cocobolo. This makes it an interactive piece of work, because you just can't stop yourself from picking up one of the spheres!
