Cookie Tray

I remember my grandmother using a tray similar to this made out of glass or crystal with a silver handle in the center. She got it out of the big sideboard in the front parlor every time company was coming. It probably had special memories, or it might have been her only piece of real crystal. I decided to make an up-to-date version from wood. The base is Big Leaf Maple, 12 inches square, and the finial, which acts as a handle, is African Blackwood.
